# Directions:

01 - Combine warm milk, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast in a large bowl or stand mixer. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.
02 - Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix thoroughly to combine.
03 - Gradually add all-purpose flour while mixing until a soft dough forms; knead by hand or with a dough hook for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
04 - Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
05 - Mix softened butter, packed brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and optional nutmeg in a small bowl until well combined.
06 - Punch down the risen dough and place it onto a lightly floured surface. Divide into four equal portions and roll each into a 12-inch circle.
07 - Place one dough circle on a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread one-third of the filling evenly over it. Repeat layering with remaining dough and filling, finishing with a plain dough circle on top.
08 - Position a 3-inch round cutter or glass in the center without cutting through. Slice the dough into sixteen equal strips radiating from the center. Twist adjacent pairs twice away from each other and pinch ends together to form the snowflake design.
09 - Cover the shaped dough loosely and let rise for 30 to 40 minutes until puffy. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
