08 - 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
09 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
10 - 1/2 cup crisp rice cereal
# Directions:
01 - Combine whole milk and heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat. Warm until steaming without boiling.
02 - Whisk in chopped bittersweet chocolate, unsweetened cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir until chocolate is fully melted and mixture is smooth.
03 - Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Keep the mixture warm.
04 - Melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Add mini marshmallows and microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until completely melted.
05 - Stir crisp rice cereal into marshmallow mixture until evenly coated. Press into a parchment-lined dish to approximately 1/2 inch thickness. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then cut into bars.
06 - Pour hot chocolate into mugs and top each serving with a marshmallow bar, letting it float and soften slightly into the beverage.
